Hi, I'm Tancy Linn, a Colorado native, Coast Guard veteran, mother of four, and massage therapist with 15 years of experience.
My journey started in the military. I served in the Coast Guard in Seattle, Alaska, and Virginia, and even spent time in Antarctica. After my service, I discovered my calling in bodywork and graduated from the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage Therapy in 2009. I've practiced in Virginia, Alaska, and now Michigan, where my husband and I settled in Sault Ste. Marie after his own 22-year Coast Guard career.
I'm a lifelong student. I passed the MBLEx, the national licensing exam required to practice massage therapy, and earned my Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, a credential held by fewer than 3% of massage therapists in the country. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Ayurveda Wellness & Integrative Health from Maharishi International University, one of the only accredited programs of its kind in the U.S., which deepened my understanding of how diet, routine, and balance affect the whole body. I also hold certification in the Happy Healthy Mother Baby program, specialized training for supporting mothers and infants before and after birth.
Now I'm pursuing a Master of Science in Thanatology from Marian University, focused on end-of-life care and support. It's a natural extension of everything I do: welcoming new life, helping people live well, and honoring life's final chapter. I believe in caring for the whole person, wherever they are in their journey.
When I'm not in the studio, I'm at home with my husband and our three youngest, whom we homeschool. Our oldest made me a grandmother this past April, which has only deepened my appreciation for the full circle of life.
I take continuing education seriously because the people who trust me with their care deserve a therapist who never stops learning. But credentials don't mean much if you don't feel comfortable. Whether it's your first massage or your fiftieth, I'll take the time to answer your questions, explain what to expect, and make sure you feel at ease before we begin. My studio is a calm, unhurried space where your comfort comes first.
Whether you're managing chronic pain, seeking stress relief, navigating pregnancy, or just curious about what massage can do for you, I tailor every session to what your body needs.
It's an honor to be part of your journey.
